Cassie in Dark Peak

Some time ago I had been discussing doing a photoshoot with Cassie, and on April 4th she got in touch to say:

[pullquote author="Cassie"]we should organise it.[/pullquote]

The challenge for me was finding a good location for the sorts of photography we wanted to do: studio but a bit grungy. Then it hit me: Sjek's barn! She was amenable to the idea, and so we set about trying to arrange everyone's diaries. The first date got cancelled due to illness, then Cassie was away for a week modelling and job hunting. The second date almost didn't happen thanks to broken down buses, overrunning appointments... it seemed like fate didn't want us to pull this off. But we managed it!

I am incredibly pleased with the results of the day's shooting. We started setting up around 1:30pm and began packing up around 6:00pm, so it was a solid afternoon's work leaving us both aware of the effort we'd put in, but it paid off. I got some excellent shots "straight out of camera" — just how I like to do it — and Cassie was really pleased with the results. A super-big pub-dinner gave us a chance to review some of the shots, and within 24 hours the selected 70 pictures were post-processed and online.

We should totally do this again: we got a good rapport going, and came away with some striking images that make us both quite proud.

...and I now have a queue of more than 20 people.
