More Home Processing

These two Pan-F Plus 50 films were processed in 1+3 Microphen with approximately 30% over-development.

There is something very special about film, something which digital photography doesn't quite match. I can't put my finger on what the difference is, so I'll simply say that film has got "soul".

Shooting Dr Cat

I have to be up-front and say it: this was one of the most challenging photo-shoots I've done in a long time. This is not a bad thing — I like a challenge — but saying so helps remind me how much I learned today. Dr Cat is a friend who, gorgeous as she is, does not work as a model. In fact she was simultaneously hesitant and excited to pose: this was a test of herself, and I was very flattered that she trusted me to be the chosen photographer for it.

Cassie in Dark Peak

Some time ago I had been discussing doing a photoshoot with Cassie, and on April 4th she got in touch to say:

Steel Rose

These three photographs took a surprisingly long time to get right: background and lighting were something of a challenge.

Got Wood?

Sjek has been carving wood into bowls. Here is one of her creations, a gift for me.
