Somehow this seems apt given my recent experiences with The Beast of Redmond…

Windows 7 Beta

I wasn’t expecting much, but Microsoft delivered a wonderful first experience of their beta. See screenshots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Time I beta-tested some interesting new hardware!

Go, go, Gadget: Alan Turing!

Random display corruption on the images?  I started to see this in several places.  Maybe this is just a bug in the driver when using a virtual display?  But why was the desktop background and the drawing of very large images flawless?

Five minutes into using my brand new 64-bit Windows 7 Beta (build 7000) on VirtualBox I was greeted by this wonderful error.  I thought it was quite cute how Windows was checking for a solution to the problem: truly this version of Windows can do the impossible!

is looking at Windows7 Beta and is making a lot of “hmm…” noises!
