Art Nude and Boudoir Photography Course

I saw an advert for an art nude and boudoir course and figured I'd put my name and money down for it. At first I hadn't appreciated that this was a course aimed at professional photographers, and so I had to get good fast! My initial experiments (with myself as model) are recorded in my practice set: a lot of room for improvement!

I'm extremely grateful to Jayce (teacher) and Colleen (model) for their extremely helpful input in what has been a hugely useful day for me. I've definitely pushed my standard higher, have learned a great deal, and hope to be able to kick it up another notch when I try some of this away from a "proper studio".

What did I learn today? A metric boatload of stuff about lighting, especially that a black backdrop can be turned into any colour you like with a gel and a flash.
