Paragon 135mm f/2.8 Depth-of-Field Test

I went to Real Camera to buy some old lenses and found this 135mm f/2.8 with an M42 mount. Fully open it has deliciously buttery and soft bokeh. New portrait lens ahoy!

Pilates Ball

My gym instructor makes me do an exercise that's a little like this. Of course, it looks far cooler when I'm not in a big floppy cotton tracksuit and drenched with sweat from the workout.

Nude Practice

After the boudoir/art nude photography course earlier this week, I was keen to try and put into practice the techniques I'd learned. Sadly it's been a very busy few weeks for me at work, and I was lucky to get even a couple of hours to play. Of course, the only time I was free was at stupid o'clock on Saturday night, so the only "model" available was yours truly. My tense neck, and aching back and shoulder muscles (from long days working at a computer) are clearly on view in this picture.

Art Nude and Boudoir Photography Course

I saw an advert for an art nude and boudoir course and figured I'd put my name and money down for it. At first I hadn't appreciated that this was a course aimed at professional photographers, and so I had to get good fast! My initial experiments (with myself as model) are recorded in my practice set: a lot of room for improvement!

Portrait

I love the sharpness of her eyes and hair in this portrait.

Countdown

Agent Nerina planted the explosives at the base of the launch tower, set the timers, and sprinted for safety. Her cover would soon be blown, but at least the starship would not make it to its rendezvous.
