It’s been a pretty interesting “first day” of releases. I have to admit
to myself that I hadn’t quite been organised enough and merged two
bug-fixes into the main source tree (did I lose applying them somewhere
between work and home? I need to stop having three CVS repositories and
carry just one around on CompactFlash!).
There will be a satsuma party[1] to celebrate my 20th birthday starting about 8pm till whenever on the balcony (weather permitting, else it’ll be somewhere else) at Castle House[2] tomorrow, Monday 20th November, the two thousandth year since about six years after a rather influential man was born.
Bring satsumas, tangerines, clementines and other assorted citrus fruit[3].
There is no dress code[4].

today has been, by far, the craziest day of the entire year so far.
it started at 8am, having had about 6 hours sleep since last night’s concert. i packed a sleeping bag, clothes, some paper, pens, books, money and tickets, before heading downstairs, grabbing a microwave meal (a curry it turned out), stuffing it down myself and running off to the metro station.
i remember the dream i was in when i woke this morning, but only vaguely now (as it is a number of hours since i awoke).
i remember it had something to do with lessons at school. the school was something like a cross between my primary and secondary schools, especially in the way the classrooms looked inside. i remember that the school suddenly had an outing elsewhere, like a geography field trip (although it wasn’t a geography lesson that i was in, or returned to after the trip).
less than 24 hours till the metropolis 2000 dream theater concert…!
so much to do - wrote to ewan regarding the agreement for payment. phoned blade and firebird and sorted out what’s happening on monday and tuesday. it was good to talk to blade again! long time, no see or speak (damned holidays).
