“Why does the handsome prince in a fairytale never suffer a grisly end, whilst the women get pricked by spindles, gobbled by wolves, poisoned by apples and plonked into barrels full of venemous snakes, worms and toads, often for being too curious!
“Pretty gruesome stuff, yet ironically these are the original tales for children that became sanitised and put into our lady bird books!
“Happy Go Lucky”, weighing in at two hours, was the slightly-less-obese brother of the three-hour epic American piece of shit, “Magnolia”. (yes, I know most people think, “woo! Magnolia! what a piece of art! it’s amazing!” — if you happen to be one of those people: “fuck you!”)
Worst. Film. Ever.
A short commentary of my thoughts as the film went on now follows.
Opening credits: “I want to kill her.”
Opening scene: “gods, she is annoying. I hope the shopkeeper kills her.”
The day started like any other in that it started completely unlike any other day has previously. While the alarm clock played its merry chimes and sleep began to ebb away to consciousness, I was aware of a brief inner struggle: The Driven immediately reached for his glassine whip; The Computer Scientist rolled over and pulled the sheets over her head; The Compassionate remembered that there was a parcel waiting at the Post Office; The Director and The General voiced concern at my overall lack of motivation.
I am one of the allergic individuals who suffer from eczema. Thankfully mine is quite mild, and is generally limited to a few areas of skin: backs of knees, hands/fingers and occasionally feet. What effect does this skin condition have on my fingerprints?
For the past few months the skin some of my fingers has been particularly dry and flaky, with the result that my fingerprints have worn away to nothing. Looking closely at them there are deep cracks or grooves in the skin, and a shiny smoothness where one would normally see loops, whorls and arches.
I am considering the Touchstream LP keyboard, but I’d like to hear more about your experiences now it has been nearly a year since you started using one. Is it really worth it? Please note I am also an emacs user and python programmer and I expect my keyboard usage is similar.
